We checkmated environmental impact — and the Bea World jury rewarded it with a Bronze Award.

The sustainability solutions developed for the 45th FIDE Chess Olympiad received a Bronze Award at the Best Event Awards, celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Chess tables, scoreboards, and luggage storage units were built from recycled paper and polypropylene, reducing the event’s CO₂ emissions by approximately 66 tons. The on-site operations were further supported by conscious waste management and optimized transfer logistics, ensuring a more sustainable event delivery.
